Green Goodness
I have returned from spending time in Ireland’s countryside, hiking and touring the greenway trails! I love bringing back inspiration for us to work with at Design Works International.
Below is a new mood board that incorporates Ireland’s beautiful greenery with textural products and outdoor-living photography to help inspire the artists when creating new surface pattern designs.
These Ireland trails are specifically designed for walkers, cyclists, and non-motorized vehicles in villages like Doolin, Dingle, Adare, and Cashel. The time spent in this beautiful landscape left me craving more greenways in the U.S.A!
We were lucky enough to have perfect weather each day in Ireland, which allowed us to see vistas for miles that normally would be covered in fog or dampened by too much rain. Every bend in the road lead us to another source of beautiful, wildflower filled meadows full of with sheep, cattle, and horses.
As I spent more time outdoors, it reminded me about how important it is to bring the outdoors inside. It’s crucial to appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds us! I felt this way everyday in Ireland where I was overwhelmed with lush landscapes tended to by local farmers.
Below are some of my favorite Design Works International prints that reflect the mood board
We see many designers moving away from grey and embracing green as a neutral alongside tones of beige.
