Traveling with Friends
One of my High Point Market highlights has been the relationships that I have made over the years with designers in the industry. Some of these people turned into my best friends through sharing a love of art and design.
One of these friends is the amazing Monika Nessbach, owner and chief creative officer of her design firm, Designbar located in Charlotte, NC. Her firm designs with a fresh and creative passion for commercial spaces that enrich the human experience.
Growing up close to Koln, Germany, Monika was exposed to modern and post-modern design, which influenced her creative voice. Designbar is not just another interior design studio, they are a bit more edgy and daring in their design practices making each commercial space a “one of a kind” experience.
A few months ago, we decided to travel to Milan to experience Salone del Mobile, the largest furniture design fair in the world. While planning this trip, we decided to add on a visit to The South of France, specifically St. Tropez. Traveling with another creative person and experiencing multiple design and art shows was truly a joy and an amazing experience. We were able to share all these creative experiences together.
